Note: We are tag and release fishermen when it comes to marlin, but this guy was double hooked in the tail and gills. He came in sideways and upside down, so we brought him in.

Whale Watching photos

On our recent trip to Cabo, we encountered about 80 whales up and down the coast. Since it was a full moon and a small storm system past through the deep sea sportfishing wasn’t hot like normal, so while out every day we got to see these lovely creatures jumping, waving and playing. I tried my best to be ready with my camera and get that shot.

Recent July fishing trip to Cabo

Over two weeks in the middle of July we took a family trip to Cabo and was able to head out fishing about four times. While the catch was a little quite those weeks due to Dora and a full moon, we we’re able to catch a few stripped marlin, some dorado and hit a few schools of tuna. Enjoy some photos.

Wahoo in October

Steve went down for a quick trip to get the boats in order and ready for Bisbee’s which is coming up in a few weeks. And seems the Wahoo we’re biting again!

One great Blue Marlin

We had a customer call in Saturday and ended up fishing the next day, check out his catch!

First of all, we had the most amazing time on Great Escape Jr. We fish every year and have never had a better time. True, catching such an amazing fish (Estimated 350 lb blue marlin) was a thrill, but I cannot speak highly enough of Ariel and Pepe. They were both so incredibly friendly and inviting. Ariel was so much more involved than any other captain we had ever been with and was so sweet and talked to my husband, Brad, endlessly. This was Brad’s first trip as the only male (different experience with only your wife and sister) but Ariel and Pepe invited him up top and they talked constantly about fishing and involved him in every process. We all felt so welcome and comfortable.

Cool July, hot fishing

We just got back from a 10 day fishing trip, and while the temperature was seemingly cooler than usual, the fishing was outstanding.
